Diego's Birthday Festivities

Well, Brady had a WONDERFUL birthday. I don't think any three year old could ask for much more than 3 days of celebrations and gifts! On Wednesday night he spent the night at his Bamma Shelley and Papa D's house and Thursday they took him to the Frederick Meijer Gardens to see the butterflies. I don't have any pictures, but hopefully Bamma Shelley will pass some on and maybe I can post them!! He had a great day with them and I'm sure was spoiled just a little :)

Friday was Brady's actual birthday and he woke up and walked into the living room to find his new Thomas bike!! I was so upset that I didn't have the camera ready, but I have been sick so I wasn't moving very quickly Friday morning. He saw it and his face lit up and one word came out: "AWESOME!" It was great!! He wanted to ride it right away, so before getting ready for the day he got a chance to try out his new big boy bike. I can't believe this, but I actually didn't get any pictures of him on his bike yet!! I will post some soon - I'm sure he'll ride it tonight now that the sun is coming out.

Our daycare provider is amazing and she wanted to take Brady to Chuck E. Cheese for his birthday so that was his special treat at daycare! I don't have pictures, but he had a great time!! Thanks Miss Alicia for spoiling him on his special day!!

Friday afternoon I finally started to feel better (I have a sinus infection that started overnight Tuesday and has really knocked me out!!) so I picked up the boys at about 4:00 and we headed home for Brady's chosen dinner of pizza! He had pizza twice in one day!! Then we headed off to the "golf fields" and out for ice cream where we met Conner, Sheri, and Lisa!!

On Saturday, we had Brady's birthday party and he is one LOVED boy :) Brady is obsessed with everything Diego so of course he had a Diego party and a Diego cake!! My favorite moment from this weekend is when we sang Happy Birthday to him and he corrected us on the name - "I'm not Brady, I'm Diego!" He actually tells strangers this when we tell them his name his Brady or he introduces himself as Diego!!

Happy Third Birthday Brady!!!!

Wow, it's hard to believe that 3 years ago today, Brady entered this world and changed our lives FOREVER! As I look back on the last 3 years, it seems like it's gone so fast. I truly understand all those cliche statements about time passing so quickly and wanting to slow it down.

I thought I'd post a few pictures and look back at the last 3 years and how our little guy has grown!

So, Jackson is officially walking all over! It is so strange to see him walking all over the house and he's pretty good at it! Here's a little video of him showing off and also tackling his brother a little!

Jackson and Braylen are starting to become good buddies!

Brady is starting to practice his baseball skills more and one night he decided to sleep with his baseball glove on :) He also sleeps with about six blankets - three blankets on, one blanket on his ears, and two blankets to snuggle with!! What a silly boy!

Has it really been that long?

WOW!! I am a bad blogger lately! Things are pretty busy with school and two little boys' birthdays coming up! I guess I haven't been on top of my blogging!! I knew it had been a long time, but when I uploaded pics and had 120 that was one hint that it was longer than I thought!!

So....Spring Break was a few weeks ago and I had a blast being home with the boys. Brett and I took the boys to the Van Andel museum to see the Dino exhibit! Brady LOVED it, but his favorite part was riding the carousel - he named his horse Jewel :)

We also found Brady's next bike, but he had trouble reaching the pedals so we may have to get him a different one until his legs grow a little longer!

Brady had his first visit to the dentist and he did GREAT!! Unfortunately, there are a few teeth that the dentist was concerned about. I think Brady may have inherited some bad teeth, but we're doing our best to cut out any extra candy/juice. I think the jelly beans for going to bed may have been a bad idea so we're now having him set out three goldfish with an OCCASIONAL jelly bean!!

We also had a chance to visit the Children's museum on Spring Break. It was so much fun!! I definitely want to go back with the boys. Jackson enjoyed shopping since he got to push around a cart! He's happy as long as he can push something across the floor. He also loved the mirrors - he got a kick out of seeing himself in the mirrors and would try to get as close as possible!

Brady LOVED the sand box - of all things!?!?! He also had fun with the bubbles and The Blue Man Group exhibit! He wants to be a member of the blue man group now :)
